Services
In my practice, I offer psychological services for children, adolescents, adults and couples. I provide assessment and psychotherapy with people who face a wide variety of struggles and challenges in their lives, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, thought disorders, childhood and adolescent problems, ADHD, relationship conflict, family disruption, grief and loss, trauma and reproductive difficulties. My approach to treatment is collaborative and warm, as I work together with clients in easing distress, finding relief, and supporting the process of change. I am also able to work jointly with other treatment providers including general medical physicians and medical specialists such as psychiatrists. Please contact me to make an appointment for further information and assessment.
Individual and Couples Therapy
Beginning psychotherapy is an act of personal bravery and strength. We will work together to explore your concerns, build insight and awareness, provide relief and support, and foster lasting solutions. In working with couples and families, my commitment is to assist each participant in therapy in having the kind of relationship they desire. The relationship between a therapist and client is an important one and can often be one of the richest, transformative parts of the therapeutic work. I look forward to working with you. |
Child and Adolescent Therapy
I work with children and adolescents, incorporating play therapy techniques when appropriate, to facilitate the expression of thoughts, feelings and communication. Therapy is most effective when a trusting relationship exists between the therapist and client. This is particularly true for children and adolescents who are naturally developing a greater sense of independence and autonomy while exploring their identity. I help children and adolescents deal with various challenges, whether it be with self-esteem, internal angst, risky behaviors, difficulty in school, relationships with parents and peers, or coping with significant life events. |
Reproductive Psychology
I provide assessment and psychotherapy to clients who have experienced reproductive challenges and trauma, including infertility, pregnancy loss, complicated births, peripartum and postpartum distress. Advances in reproductive medical technology have allowed patients to consider increased options for building families. A psychological understanding about the emotional, physical, relational, ethical and moral challenges associated with these choices is often beneficial. When reproductive events go awry, clients need help in identifying and grieving losses, while also making decisions about how to proceed. I provide support and help for the unique needs of this often underserved yet growing population. |
